Sanctioning of PWD works: probe against Joseph begins

Kollam: Kerala government has begun an inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the sanctioning of PWD works by former minister P J Joseph during his last month in office. The Finance department had already started an inquiry into the issue and Finance Minister T M Thomas Isaac would reveal more details on the matter, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said on the sidelines of a function here today. The PWD minister was removed from the cabinet by the Chief Minister last week after his party KC-J decided to quit the LDF and merge with UDF constituent KC-M.’’
