2G scam: Delhi HC to hear Kanimozhi's bail plea today
NEW DELHI: The Delhi high court will pronounce its verdict on the bail plea of DMK MP Kanimozhi in the 2G spectrum case. In her petition, Kanimozhi had earlier, challenged the CBI court's order calling for her to be sent to custody.

A special CBI court had rejected Kanimozhi's bail citing the enormity of the 2G scam and the fact that witnesses might be influenced incase she was on bail.

The CBI court is also likely to give its order on another 2G accused Karim Morani's bail plea. Morani, the owner of Cineyug Films Pvt Ltd had applied for bail on medical grounds. The court had reserved its order for the May 30, according to Times Now.
Morani has been accused of taking Rs 6 crore for facilitating the Rs 200 crore transaction from DB Realty to Kalaignar TV. The Cineyug owner has been getting exemption from personal appearance on the ground of his ill health and had earlier filed an anticipatory bail plea, which was dismissed by the special court on May 23.
